Wheels Development Engineer | Structural Simulation Engineer | Wheel Simulation Engineer
The company offers innovative and high-end solutions to their customers, developing and designing various bicycle parts such as frames, wheels, parts, etc out of the best materials available.
Mission of the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer (s. above) to lead our bicycle wheel development projects from concept through to production. This role is involved in the entire development process, ensuring each stage meets our high standards, with a particular focus on the simulation tasks which are critical to the project's success.
Your Key Responsibilities
Oversee the entire development process of bicycle wheels, from initial design to final production.
Definition of product specifications and performance objectives in close cooperation with the customers.
Conduct comprehensive simulations to optimize the structural performance and durability of bicycle wheels, focusing on achieving the lightest and most effective design.
Utilize simulation data to drive design optimizations and define optimal composite layups, ensuring both performance criteria and functional requirements are met efficiently.
Implementation and design of the structures using 3D CAD
Collaborate closely with clients, incorporating their feedback to align product development with market needs.
Work alongside design engineers, CAD modelers, and manufacturers to refine product
designs and facilitate the industrialization process.
Utilize Siemens NX for modeling, and FEM with NX Nastran for simulations, extending
software functionalities as needed for specific projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the bicycle industry, with a strong focus on composite materials. Experience with wheel development is a Plus.
Proficient with Siemens NX CAD and FEM, particularly NX Nastran. Candidates with strong skills in similar software packages and a willingness to quickly learn and adapt to Siemens NX are also welcome.
Experienced in anisotropic structural design.
Experienced in composite layup design and the manufacturing process.
Strong project management skills with a dynamic and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Skilled in Python for data analysis and automating repetitive tasks.
